Some journeys don’t begin with a plan. They begin with a feeling.
When I joined Brainium in 2016, I never imagined that one day I would be writing this editorial—as the editor of GreyMatter. Back then, what fascinated me most about Brainium was not just the work, but the culture. The space we were given to express, to celebrate, to create. Cultural activities were never treated as “extras” here. They were part of who we are. And for that, Sourav da, deserves special mention. His constant support for creativity and culture made many of us feel that our talents mattered beyond our job roles.
GreyMatter was one such expression.
When the magazine stopped, I won’t hide it—it hurt. Some things are not just projects; they become emotions. Time passed, priorities changed, and life moved on. But the idea never really left my heart.
When I finally got the chance to share my thoughts with Sourav da, his response was simple and instant:
“Restart it.”
No hesitation. No doubt.
Starting something is easy. Continuing it is the real challenge.
In the last one year, we couldn’t work together the way we wanted to. The magazine didn’t take shape the way it deserved. But then again—better late than never.
And here we are.
New Year 2026. A fresh beginning. A revived GreyMatter.
With full enthusiasm.
With new energy.
With life.
This magazine is not about perfection. It’s about participation.
It’s about the writer hidden inside a developer, the poet inside an operations manager, the photographer behind a project lead, the storyteller within someone who thinks they have “nothing to share.”
Trust me—we all have hidden talents.
But I’ll be honest with you.
If participation doesn’t grow, it will be difficult for this magazine to survive. GreyMatter cannot be a one-person effort. It needs you. Your thoughts. Your words. Your art. Your voice.
Let’s use this platform to explore ourselves.
Let’s make something bigger, something unique, something that no one else is doing.
Something that truly reflects the soul of Brainium.
So here’s my request—no, my invitation—to each one of you:
Be a part of GreyMatter.
Not as contributors, but as co-creators.
Let’s write. Let’s create. Let’s express.
Together.
Wishing everyone a thoughtful, creative, and inspiring New Year 2026.
